We are hiring Direct Support Professionals to work with a 22 year old man with autism.

Full Time/Part Time: Day Shift, Evening Shift, Overnight, Rotating Weekends & Weekends Only

• positions will start in June/July 2025 in Glenmore, Pa

• pay starts at $21/hour

Our ideal candidate will::

• Have a strong desire to create long-term relationships with him and the community

• Must presume competence and treat him with respect.

• Be willing to physically assist in all activities of daily living and volunteer opportunities, not just watch.

• Be an "outside person" interested in outside activities year round- such as hiking, farming and gardening. 

• Must have a passion and desire to help him reach his fullest potential - mentoring, and coaching him to achieve his goals. 

• View this position as not just a job but a way of life that is rewarding and fulfilling.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a friend, caregiver and life coach to promote independence.

• Helping guide him with activities of daily living (some examples are personal care, meals, giving medication).

• Assist him at his jobs or volunteer positions.

• General housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.

• Transportation

• Must read and follow goals and instructions put forth in the individuals ISP

• Be willing and responsible to take copious and detailed notes at the completion of their shift

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and excellent driving record

• Verifiable High School diploma.

• Must be fluent in the English language

• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Must have own transportation

• Must be tech savvy enough to use phone/computer to log daily detailed notes and timesheets
